As you know, changes are always happening in the world of social media. We have a lot to keep up with!

Fortune recently highlighted some changes to the Facebook world in, “You Can Now Raise Money for Yourself and Friends with Facebooks New Charitable Tool.” Now you no longer have to be tied to a specific organization, but can now donate at will. Facebook keeps churning out new features to keep people on the site longer and expand the ways it is currently used.

Mashable talks about effective branding and marketing in their article, “Why Great Design is Key to Landing and Keeping Customers”. They outline what a great design looks like and how to keep your audience engaged in your business. These design techniques can be easily translated to creating social media visuals as well.

Adweek created a great list of ways to turn your social media audience into shoppers of your product. In their recent article titled, “5 Ways to Turn Your Social Users into Social Shoppers” they break down how to better connect with your audience on social and make a profit in the process.

As you know, changes are always happening in the world of social media. We have a lot to keep up with!

In AdWeek’s recent blog titled “How Hotels Can Fill Their Rooms Via Twitter” they highlighted 4 different marketing strategies that hotels can utilize to help boost business. They also included ways to connect with their communities and other tips that can be applied to other businesses as well.

In January Instagram announced that they would be offering ad features to the stories of 30+ businesses. They have now extended this feature to all businesses of every size around the world. Instagram goes into great detail regarding what this new opportunity offers  in their announcement  “Instagram Stories Ads- Now Available for all Businesses Globally”.

Google announced two new Hangouts available for companies and businesses early this month. In their blog titled “Meet the New Hangouts” they introduce Hangout Meet and Hangout Chat. Hangout Meet is designed for video conference calls where Hangout Chat is for separate chat rooms to discuss projects and topics. Google’s blog explains the two new systems in great detail and how they can serve your business.

Facebook is opening up new opportunities for companies to advertise. In a blog post titled “An Update on Video Monetization”, they announced some of the changes they are making to live video and what their hopes are for the new developments. Facebook keeps investing in their push for more live video content – including this move toward monetization and ad break advertising opportunities.

Pinterest announced an expansion for their Promoted Pins in their recent blog titled “Promoted Pins come to Ireland, Australia and New Zealand”. Promoted Pins will now be able to help businesses increase their online sales in more countries around the world. Advertising seems to be the name of the game in social media this year.

Snapchat recently released their Snaplytics 2016 report and it would seem they are here to stay. In AdWeek’s recent article “Brands Are Experimenting With Snapchat (Report)”, it is reported that Snapchat’s engagement with brands and Snapchat users is the only network that did not decline last year, becoming even more popular for brand marketing.
