Sometimes an older social media platform comes onto our scope that we’re not really sure how to use. Reddit is one of those places. It’s tough to jump into Reddit and pursue self-promotion, but you can build brand loyalty and trust. Mark Schaefer from BusinessGrow.com gives us “A Reasonable Guide to Reddit for Marketers.” His pointers are crucial in launching successfully on Reddit.

Are you interested in using video in Twitter Ads but are unsure where to start? Carolyn Berk from Social Media Examiner gives us four great examples in her article “4 Ways to Use Video in Twitter Ads.” She even provides a great set of tips for making successful ads, and provides powerful brand examples. Since 82% of Twitter users watch video content, this is something you definitely want to check out.

Have you ever used Facebook Slideshow Ads? Facebook rolled it out last October as a way for marketers to create videos out of still images. The new features make it something you should try out. David Cohen of Adweek.com has the scoop with “Facebook Slideshow Ads Get Several New Features.” Two of my favorite new additions are the ability to create slideshows on the go with Android mobile devices as well as the ability to turn videos into slide shows for users with low bandwidth connections.

A recent study by Startek examined the connection between social media mobile and consumer engagement. It turns out that your customers view social media as a valid outlet for customer service inquiries, complaints, and more. Snapchat is changing the way they do business. Christopher Heine from Adweek.com tells us that “Snapchat Just Revealed a New Feature Called ‘Memories’ That Saves Snaps.” It’s a collage-like function that allows users to save posts—still photos or videos—and edit them for use in a story collage. They’ll be rolling it out selectively over the next month or so. With over 150 million daily users, a staggered release makes sense.

Are you having trouble with engagement and positive responses to your LinkedIn profile? There may be a reason. Melonie Dodaro from Top Dog Social Media fills us in on the “5 Things You Should Avoid Posting on LinkedIn.” She goes on to list four types of posts that can help you stand out and improve engagement.
